FEES
Paynesville Medical Centre is a private billing medical clinic
As a private general practice, our aim is to provide you with the very best care and service. We would like you to feel that you are not being rushed, that the doctors are attentive and that they explain things clearly.
Our fees are structured to reflect the time you spend with the doctor as well as the number and complexity of matters discussed during your consultation. We would like you to acknowledge the rebate offered by the government helps to offset the cost of your care.

Why is there a charge for dressing, plasters, suture removals etc?
Paynesville Medical Centre charges fees for items such as dressings, suture removal, plasters etc for the purpose of shared cost recovery. These fees have been determined in consideration of the cost of materials, nursing time, procedure room supplies, waste disposal, sterilisation and other factors. Simply accepting your assigned government rebate (bulk billing) from Medicare for appointments requiring items such as the above does not adequately compensate the Doctor or the practice for the services we provide.
Does Medicare have your bank account details?
Paynesville Medical Centre electronically submits your Medicare claim on your behalf. If Medicare has your bank account details, payment into your account usually occurs within 24 hours. Visit My.gov.au for more information or attend your local Medicare office.
For any questions or concerns regarding your Medicare refund, you may call Medicare directly on 132 011 ( 7 days a week, 24 hours a day).
